Chuẩn bị cho việc sinh con: những câu hỏi để tự hỏi bản thân để đưa ra lựa chọn đúng đắn

When do I start?

The first course – a one-to-one interview with a midwife – takes place in the 4th month. This is an opportunity for future parents to discuss their concerns and discuss their wishes regarding childbirth. And for the midwife, to present and plan the 7 other sessions of preparation for birth and parenthood. Start them in the 6th month to benefit from all the sessions! “Ideally, they should be completed at the end of the 8th month,” underlines Alizée Ducros.

I’m going to have a cesarean, is it useful?

Sure ! The content of the sessions adapts to each person’s needs. You can share your expectations with the midwife. You will have explanations on the course of the cesarean section and its consequences, breastfeeding, the development of the baby, the return home. And also many exercises to learn postures, breathing-relaxation … If you feel like it, you can try less classic preparations, such as haptonomy, prenatal singing …

Can the daddy come?

Dads are of course welcome to the birth preparation sessions. For Alizée Ducros, liberal midwife, it is even recommended, especially if it is the first baby. You don’t improvise dad overnight! Moreover, more and more maternities are setting up sessions intended for spouses only. These “special future daddy” discussion groups are an opportunity to share his experience and discuss without taboos.

I am super stressed, what preparation is made for me?

For the “anxious”, there is a panel of anti-stress preparations. Sophrology is a champion for releasing tension. This technique combines deep breathing, muscle relaxation and positive visualizations. To harmonize body and mind, you can enjoy the benefits of yoga. And to get rid of stress while working your breath, you can do a few sessions in the pool. Water facilitates relaxation.

How many sessions are reimbursed?

Health insurance covers 100% of the eight birth preparation sessions. This concerns both the sessions in the maternity ward and the office of a liberal midwife. And if your midwife takes the Vitale card, you will have nothing to advance. Otherwise, the first interview is 42 €. The other sessions are € 33,60 individually (€ 32,48 in groups). In the Paris region, some midwives practice excess fees, generally reimbursed by mutuals.
