When asked what the secret to their success is, celebrities talk about hard work, perseverance, and incredible sacrifice. But besides this, there are features that distinguish successful people from everyone else.

Not everyone achieves success in life. You can work for years without a day off and still barely make ends meet, get three diplomas of higher education and not make a career, write a dozen business plans, but not launch a single startup. What is the difference between successful people and mere mortals?

1. They believe success is inevitable.

You can believe that the favorites of fortune initially had something that we ourselves do not have: talent, ideas, drive, creativity, special skills. This is not true. All successful people go to success through mistakes and losses. They didn’t give up and kept trying. If you want to achieve outstanding results, first of all, stop comparing yourself to others. Pick a goal and measure yourself against your progress towards it.

2. They make their own choices.

You can wait years to be recognized, selected, or promoted. This is not constructive. Today, thanks to the internet and social media, the opportunities to showcase your talent are virtually endless. You can share your music without anyone’s help, create and promote your own products, and attract investors.

3. Họ giúp đỡ người khác

Our success is linked to the success of others. High-class managers help subordinates gain new knowledge and launch interesting projects, and as a result achieve their goals. A good consultant succeeds by helping clients solve their problems, but truly successful companies produce the right products and provide excellent customer service. By supporting others, you move closer to your own success.

4. They know that the most patient wins.

Paradoxically, the latter may be the winner. This happens when competitors lose their nerves and leave, give up, betray their principles and forget about their values. Competitors may be smarter, more educated, richer, but they lose because they cannot reach the end.

Sometimes it makes sense to give up on ideas and projects, but you can’t give up on yourself. If you believe in what you are doing, don’t give up.

5. They do what others don’t want to do.

Successful people go where no one wants to go and see opportunity where others see only difficulty. Are there only potholes and spikes ahead? Then go ahead!

6. They don’t network, they build real relationships.

Sometimes networking is just a numbers game. You can collect 500 business cards at different events and make 5000 friends on social networks, but this will not help you in any way in business. You need real connections: people you can help and who trust you.

When you do something, focus not on what you get in the end, but on what you can give to others. This is the only way to build a real, strong and lasting relationship.

7. They act, not just talk and plan

The strategy is not the product. Success is achieved not through planning, but through action. Develop the idea, create a strategy and release the product as quickly as possible. Then collect feedback and improve.

8. They know that leadership has to be earned.

True leaders inspire, motivate, and make people feel valued. Leaders are those who are followed not because they have to, but because they want to.

9. They don’t see success as an incentive.

They do what they believe in and work to their limits, not because someone told them that they would get money and recognition. They just don’t know how.
